Water slide at the pool

I used the water slide at the pool every afternoon, which sat near the central island lounge area. I also took the free ferry ride to Port Lucaya for dinner. My studio had a hot tub in the room.

Shuttles departing for the beach

I rode the shuttle from the resort to the beach almost every day of my trip. My unit included a kitchen fully stocked with cooking equipment, so I prepared meals while watching the yachts in the marina from my furnished deck. I also drank filtered water from the ten-gallon tank inside my room each morning.

Water filter tap in the kitchen

I used the water filter tap and the ice maker in the kitchen every day. I sat in the big chairs in front of the windows for hours watching boats on the sea. Since the unit sits on the second floor, I walked down the stairs to the beach instead of taking the elevator. I drank a sundowner at the beach front bar outside while watching the sunrise.

Soaking in the outdoor jacuzzi

I spent my afternoons in the outdoor jacuzzi, which sat in the well-kept garden area. I cooked meals in my one-bedroom apartment using the stove and microwave after picking up groceries. Nadia served cocktails at the restaurant, where I ate while looking out over the marina.

Wednesday happy hour burgers

I ordered a burger during the Wednesday Burgers & Beers happy hour at Upstairs on the Bay, which overlooked the canal. My spacious room held a portable work desk and a fridge, while the balcony provided a view of the pool. I watched fish being cleaned near the water after walking back from the restaurant.

Ferry ride to Taino Beach

I took the free ferry from the hotel dock to reach Taino Beach, which departed once an hour during my stay. I relaxed by the three on-site pools and ate at the open-air Sabor restaurant where I watched tropical fish in the aquarium. My room balcony overlooked the canal, providing a view of the water while I stayed at this hotel along the marina.

Dining at Portabella's

I ate at Portabella's where Debbie took care of my table. Amos the lifeguard talked about the history of the area while I watched the waves.

Water views from the window

I swam in the pool situated directly outside my window. The apartment overlooked the canal where I watched the water from the bay.

Night swimming in the courtyard

I swam in the courtyard pool at night, which shone with underwater lights. I walked on the Valentino floors while moving through the halls of the building. I ate dinner in the dining room, where the food tasted good.

Snorkeling near the red buoy

I spent my mornings snorkeling near the red buoy left of the beach, where I saw many coral species and fish. My ocean view room stayed fresh thanks to the ceiling fans, and I easily walked down one flight of stairs to the sand. I enjoyed refreshing cocktails from the bar while the entertainment team kept the resort energy high all week.
